After what felt like the world’s longest pregnancy, Robin Isaac was finally born on March 19 at 11:51 p.m., 10 days late at 8 lbs, 9 ounces and 21 and a half inches long. The delivery itself was fairly uneventful other than the fact that I had several false starts and was in on and off labor for more than a week before he finally made his appearance. Unfortunately, there were some ultimately minor complications after the delivery that led to a long night and several exhausted days after the fact. I will post a complete labor story in the near future. I’m grateful to no longer be pregnant but taking care of two children is definitely harder than I anticipated. But for now at least he is here and healthy and already sleeps better than our daughter did. More to come.
