One of my major goals for this year is to adopt a lifestyle a family fitness. I have struggled for the last year to reintegrate regular exercise and fitness back into my life. When I discovered I had an abdominal separation (diastasis) just after my son’s first birthday I was very discouraged. A friend recommended Fit2B studio as well as an abdominal splint, both of which I used for several months. Then in the fall I trained for and ran my first 5k. It was a great experience but it left me with an excruciating foot pain that took weeks to fade. After that I never really got fully back into the exercises habit.
I’ve decided to return to Fit2B studio for the next year. I’m going to be following the Fit2B Beginning track and going on from there. While I do feel that I’m probably in better shape than the first few weeks of the track I am still going to follow as specified so that I can accurately chronicle it for all of you.
My husband is also taking fitness and exercise seriously for the first time ever. He cleared out a section of our hideous little unfinished basement and setup an old TV, DVD player and an old exercise bike. His goal is to try and do 20 minutes on the bike most days. When the weather warms up we’re hoping to begin walking together sometimes and perhaps even tackle a couch to 5K program (with a double jogging stroller, which will be quite a challenge.) But for now, I’m just excited that he’s taking his health seriously.
I can’t recommend Fit2B Studios enough. With nearly 100 different kinds of workouts to choose from, it’s hard to get bored.
So what are your 2014 Fitness goals?
In the interests of full disclosure, when you use my coupon code, I receive a small percentage of the price of your membership. However, I only became an affiliate because of how much I like the studio. I think these kind of mobile workouts are the future for busy parent’s who can’t always get to or afford the gym.
