31 Days of Fitness! I only actually missed one day and I did take it easy on a few others, but overall I’m really happy with my consistency and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

This past week was especially busy with the Easter holiday (cleaning my entire house totally counts as cardio) but I still wanted to finish strong. I revisited some workouts I hadn’t done in a long time, tried a new one and returned to a few favorites

Weightlifting 201

Classic Flow B & Half Round Foam Roll workout
Big little Band Workout & Restorative Poses II

I love anything Tabata and so I regularly use all these workouts.  I still haven’t gotten all the way through Weightlifting 201, (my current record is making it to 28 minutes) but I’m going to keep trying. After a whole day of house cleaning, Classic Flow B really hit the spot and I really enjoyed revisiting the Half Dome Foam workout. It was really creative and I enjoyed the focus on balance. I’ll definitely be adding it to my regular rotation.

I was hoping that after a month I’d have big changes to tell you. But truthfully I haven’t seen anything massive. I do have a little more energy and I’m definitely seeing muscle development in my arms and legs a bit. I’ve seen perhaps a small decrease in my waistline and I haven’t lost any weight to speak of. But you know what, I’m ok with that for now. Because when it comes to health and fitness, a month really isn’t that much time. So I plan to keep going and I’m hoping that after two or three months I’ll be able to report increased strength and stamina and perhaps even a smaller waistline. (That is not my primary focus, but a girl can dream).

I’m so grateful to have found Fit2B Studio and the important role it plays in my life. My focus in the past has always been primarily on losing weight and less on actual strength and fitness. Even though the numbers on the scale aren’t budging, I can see positive physical changes and I know that my arms are stronger than they have been in years. Don’t give up if you don’t see results right away, or you don’t see the kind you are expecting. Not all aspects of fitness are immediately apparent or even quantifiable. Consistency beats intensity every time.
